    Co-Director of Huck-Fin Environmental Education

     

    Brian has served as a classroom teacher since 1978, and has worked with Huck-Fin since 1989. His responsibilities for the environmental program include scheduling trips, buses and boats, teaching environmental fishing classes, training Huck-Fin teachers, fundraising and overseeing field trips. Initially, Brian taught Huck-Fin students only at Chula Vista Jr. High. Now, he helps to oversee the program, which encompasses all the schools in the Sweetwater Union High School District and outside community centers and groups. Mr. Matsumoto graduated from San Diego State University in 1973, holds a Teaching Credential, and enjoys fishing, restoring cars and competing in dog sports.
